Saigontourist’s hotels, restaurants and resorts in HCMC are offering food and entertainment programs for Christmas 2009 and New Year 2010 to enhance the joy of the holiday season.

Rex Hotel (141 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, tel: 3822 8383)

A Christmas seafood buffet party will take place from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve at the Rex Hotel’s Rooftop Garden. Tickets are priced at US$75++ per adult and US$40++ per child, inclusive of wine, soft drinks and entertainment shows.

Meanwhile, a party celebrating the New Year will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on December 31 with music by the Flamenco band, a fashion show, a lucky draw and a lobster buffet for US$89++ per adult and US$45++ per child.

At the hotel’s Rose Garden Restaurant there will be a grill buffet and live music on the nights of December 24 and 31. Tickets are US$35++ per person, including a glass of wine or German beer.

The hotel’s Cung Dinh Restaurant is offering set menus priced from US$25-US$38++, inclusive of a glass of wine. Hoa Mai Restaurant will be offering special menus just for Christmas.

Grand Hotel (8 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3824 5771)
The hotel’s Chez-Nous will prepare a traditional buffet for the festive season and an artistic performance from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. on December 24 and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Tickets are US$55 per adult and US$30 per child.

The hotel also hosts a poolside steak & seafood BBQ buffet. Tickets are priced at US$40 per adult and US$30 per child.

Palace Saigon Hotel (55-66 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, tel: 3829 2860)
The hotel’s sixth floor Palace Ballroom is hosting programs called Merry Christmas Saigon from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on December 24 and Happy New Year Saigon from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. on December 31 with candles, live music from a Filipino band, a fashion show, a children’s choir, a buffet and wine. Tickets are VND850,000 per person.

Que Huong 1 Hotel (49 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 1, tel: 3829 4443)
The hotel is offering holiday buffet lunch and dinner on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 with many options at a price of VND159,000 per adult and VND99,000 per child.

Lion Restaurant (11-13 Lam Son Square, District 1, tel: 3823 8514)
A buffet featuring more than 40 dishes in Asian and European cuisine will add meaningful moments this Christmas and New Year.

Buffet will be served with animated music shows, jugglery by Tran Long, a lucky draw and circus acts. Tickets are VND159,000 per adult and VND99,000 per child for buffet lunch on December 24,25 and 31 and VND549,000 per adult and VND279,000 per child for buffet dinner on December 24 and 31. Those booking tickets before December 15 will get a 10% discount.
