At a elevation of 1600 meters, Sapa is a delightful old French hill station situated in the mountainous region of Vietnams' northwest, close to the Chinese border. The region is home to many ethnic minorities groups all wearing their traditional and colourful attire. Many travelers consider Sapa to be the highlight of their stay in Vietnam. The variety of ethnic minority groups in Vietnam is fascinating and nowhere is this ethnic mix more accessible than it is in Sapa, and its outstandingly beautiful valleys.
This trip is a condensed and easier version of the 7 day Ethnic Explorer, designed for those people who are put off by the lack of comfort in that trip. The trek takes 2 days and there is only one long walk. We spend one night in one of the more comfortable villages and travel to and from Hanoi by car allowing you to take in as much as possible of the breath-taking scenery in a short time

Sapa Tours - Daily Life Muong Hum Market Detailed Itinerary
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai
Car will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Hanoi train station to catch the night train soft sleeper with AC to Lao Cai station. Overnight on the train.
Day 1: Lao Cai - Muong Hum - Sapa (B, L)
Picked up at Laocai Train Station then transfer to Muong Hum market. It takes almost 2 hours to get to MuongHum – a small & traditional market situated among ethnic villages. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of Vietnam’s remote areas. Leave the market and transfer to Sapa. On the way, spend time visiting a cave called Muong Vy or “ThuyTien” , then reach Sapa and check in hotel. Lunch in Muong Hum. Overnight in hotel
Day 2: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. Depart Sapa for the trekking at 10:00 AM. Take the main road (3 km) and go down hill to the valley. Cross Muong Hoa River to get to the other mountainside for 3 villages with rice terraces: Y Linh Ho, Laochai, and Tavan. Stay the night at a local family in Tavan village. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.
Day 3: Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan - Lao Cai (B, L, D)
Get up early in the morning to enjoy the daily life of the ethnic minorities in the village. Breakfast, take the road to GiangTa Chai village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces and through bamboo forests. Visit silver waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge, visit the people in the village and then cross MuongHoa River up to the mountain to visit the last village of the trek – Supan village of the H’mong. Get back to Sapa by our car. On the way back, enjoy visiting the ancient stone circle where stones are decorated with ancient car or vanvings. Reach to Sapa. Then drive to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi. Dinner at Lao Cai Station.
Day 4: Hanoi - Arrival
Getting back to Hanoi from Sapa trip so early at around 5am, taxi to hotel on your own. Tour ends.
